I lead Observability strategy for Nomura’s Wealth Management business in Japan, representing the region on the firm’s global Observability leadership team. My team builds and operates a unified, cloud-native monitoring platform — spanning open-source, proprietary, and bespoke tooling — focused on reducing MTTR and maturing telemetry across private and public cloud. Previously, I spent over a decade leading cloud infrastructure teams at Rakuten, including building the platform behind Japan’s largest e-commerce ecosystem. Bilingual in English and Japanese, I bridge global engineering strategy with regional execution.
